Plane Suicide / Berserk Blood Donor Stabbing

From 1983 comes this story of a man who boarded a plane, chatted people up, then propped the plane's door open with his shoe and jumped to his death.

Then from 1978 is this news article about a man who went crazy at a blood donor clinic...

I'll try to put up another couple before a few months pass, but no promises. It's the curse of having 100 blogs...

Knight Rider and 1879 All Saints Day Notice/ Strange Coincidence / Gagged Robbed Killed

First off, from my teen years comes this 1987 Knight Rider ad!

Then comes this packed mini article from 1879! Not only one of the earliest American references to All Saints' Day, but with two equally -interesting pieces.

Colt Revolver and 1983 Movie Newspaper Ad

Here's a 1908 Colt Revolver ad--gun ads are always interesting to me. I'm just not sure why they bold the word USE in there...seems out of place.
From a Spokane newspaper in October of 1983...look at that. Rumblefish, The Dead Zone, The Osterman Weekend, Never Say Never Again...and more.

Once again I'm reminded how I'd kill five people for a chance to make it back to the 80's. (but I'd have to get my youth back again, or it's no deal...)

World War II News Articles

From November 1940 comes this page proclaiming "Bomb Berlin and Save London". Yet, the other side claims that Roosevelt says his finger's not on the trigger...

Then the Palm Beach Post in October of 1942 comes this diagram of the major battle areas of the Pacific:

Crazy, different times!

The Hindenburg in Baltimore & Church Favors Science Teachings

Here's a couple pretty amazing shots of the Hindenburg passing the famous clock tower in Baltimore way back in 1936, nine months before the disaster. I'm not saying Baltimore had anything to do with the dirigible going up in a fiery inferno, but it's Baltimore so it's possible.

 PS: I'm obviously joking.

Then we have a headline that seems awfully contradictory to today's church in most respects. This is from the Daily Star in 1925.

Giants Found in Indiana in 1901

Sort of want to know what this was about, you know? A prehistoric race of giants?

From the Daily True American, 1901.
