The Hindenburg in Baltimore & Church Favors Science Teachings

Here's a couple pretty amazing shots of the Hindenburg passing the famous clock tower in Baltimore way back in 1936, nine months before the disaster. I'm not saying Baltimore had anything to do with the dirigible going up in a fiery inferno, but it's Baltimore so it's possible.

 PS: I'm obviously joking.

Then we have a headline that seems awfully contradictory to today's church in most respects. This is from the Daily Star in 1925.

So apparently it was preferable back in the day to put some meat on your bones. This was from the Daily True American and was an ad for an elixir that would "put some flesh on you", and was not for fat people. Just skinny people.
